Life is complicated, messy, and at times heartbreaking. But out of the storm comes the beauty of lessons.
Only you can choose to become aware enough to realize what the lessons meant for you to learn are.
This year has brought life and death for me.
The life of my newborn daughter and the death of my best friend since sixth grade. My daughter was not even two months old before everything I felt I had worked for came crashing down around me, My daughters God mother. Gone. In the blink of an eye.
I am choosing to take this loss as a potential for me to gain.
She showed me what it means to be a loyal friend. A true genuine soul. And for that I am forever grateful. All my life, what she saw in me, I never saw in myself. Ive always felt less than. She was my validation. Without her here physically I know it is a sign from God that I have been shown the way to become my own best friend. To create my own confidence. To be my biggest supporter of myself.
Not all of that negative self talk/harm I always used to do.
That was huge for me to overcome. Now it is time to replace it with everything my best friend would say to me. I must say to myself.
Gods plans for me involves me branching out into my community. And although she would have done everything with me, Gods letting me know that with him I am capable of doing it on my own.
